Research Project Manager

As a box office and events coordinator, you will ensure customers receive exceptional service at every level. Daily, you will answer phone calls and emails, process transactions, and sell tickets via Tessitura, the ticketing system. In preparation for events, you will enter event details into the website and ticketing system for ticket sales, maintaining sales and holds in Tessitura. You will support the upkeep of audience-facing web pages to include venue and parking information, maps, and general content for the theater. You will manage performance will call lists and ticket distribution, collaborate with the house manager to manage timing holds for seating and the show's start, and be the primary contact at events for patrons. We are looking for someone with great business acumen, a love of technology, and product&nbsp;management&nbsp;skills.&nbsp;You will be working with our US Consumer and Small business markets, to&nbsp;understand and support the definition and documentation of the Roadmap, Product Vision, mapping user stories to the needs of the business and ensuring product delivery meets the business need.&nbsp; You will work with one or more scrum teams, align with other Product Owners/Managers, Delivery Managers, Solution Architects and Engineers across the globe to refine the features, prioritize the backlog, and collaborate to deliver on Global Accounts Receivable initiatives.&nbsp;Specifically for this role,<ul><li>Candidate will be working with multiple scrum teams</li><li>The candidate will be located in Phoenix or New York and should be able to work in person 3 days per week. </li><li>The candidate will be working on the Classic Accounts Receivable platform. These platforms run in multiple technology stack including Mainframe, Oracle and Cloud</li><li>Must be a quick learner, able to understand complex functional and digital capabilities including multiple system interaction</li><li>Must be able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, product and engineers located in other regions particularly New York, Phoenix, India and Manila</li></ul>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Translate complex business objectives into functional and non functional features, working closely with engineering to provide the information required for those teams to successfully deliver software products.</li><li>Ensure what the team builds is aligned with what is needed to achieve the desired outcomes.</li><li>Lead refinement, and own/prioritize the team’s backlog.</li><li>Execute agile methodologies with collaboration in a dynamic product development environment. </li><li>Maintain the product backlog and ensure user stories are aligned to underlying product outcomes.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in retrospectives to ensure lessons learned are carried forward in subsequent development activities&nbsp;</li><li>Lead the team in defining what needs to change on the platform to support a particular business feature (impact analysis / approach definition).</li><li>Ensure feature refinement conforms to definition of ready, and acceptance test criteria is completed to definition of done. </li><li>Foster and contribute to a culture of ownership, follow-through, and collaboration by adopting a mindset of doing whatever it takes to make the team successful.</li><li>Identify risks, challenges, opportunities, and business integration needs.</li><li>Enable cross-functional collaboration with relevant teams within the product scope.</li><li>Prioritize and maintain the features backlog consistent with the Outcomes and Product Roadmap and perform story elaboration with the implementation team.</li><li>Work closely with the design and technology teams to develop, test and deliver the defined capabilities and rapidly iterate new solutions.</li><li>Review/demonstrate sprint-related or general functionality with external partners and customers.</li><li>Coordinate communication and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the product backlog.</li><li>Create documentation which identifies and highlights gaps in the end user experience from production launches.</li><li>Ensure that the appropriate tracking and reporting is in place to monitor performance post launch to evaluate future investment.</li><li>Manage and mentor junior product managers in the team</li><li>Serves as the Subject matter expert for the pricing and remediation tool capabilities in the US market and its supported business functions.</li><li>Initiates and completes research and analyses requiring in-depth knowledge of the Triumph platform and regulatory environment for various product strategies to drive product development or improvements. Using assessment of market trends and the competitive landscape, makes recommendations for product enhancements for respective or related group of products. Considers economics behind products. Manages and presents materials for product governance meetings.</li><li>Responds to inquiries and demands from US Consumer &amp; Small Business Pricing and American Express National Bank stakeholders across the organization. Interacts with end users, regulators, vendors and other industry participants as necessary.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Must have substantial knowledge of credit card issuer fees and the regulations (such as CARD Act) associated with it in the US Consumer and Small business markets</li><li>Previous Experience in leading corrective actions and operational risk events, financial remediation, implementing long term fix and control enhancements (such as PRSA)</li><li>5+ years’ experience in Product Management with consistent track record in defining winning product constructs and delivering a product vision and strategy.</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization, internally and externally.</li><li>Experience with Agile and scrum software development methodologies is desirable.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills to consult with various stakeholders and drive to thorough requirements.</li><li>Experience in writing customer journeys, user stories, features in an easy to understand, non-technical manner.</li><li>Good analytical skills. Shown experience in data analysis and analytical decision-making&nbsp;</li><li>Problem solving, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills.</li><li>Product management skills, ability to prioritize and complete tasks.</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree desirable or equivalent experience</li><li>Ability to support or leading large, complex features or products with multiple partners.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Previous experience in supporting Triumph and Oracle BPM platforms and Florida remediation tool</li><li>Knowledge of the data structure in the US Accounts Receivable platform in American Express</li></ul>Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
