SUMMARY
The part-time&nbsp;Industrial Maintenance and Automation Instructor shall coordinate with the full-time program faculty and shall be directly responsible to the institution administration for effective performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. The instructor shall observe rules, policies, and regulations set forth by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and the Council of Occupational Education (COE); and shall strive to promote and elevate the mission and philosophy of occupational education within the areas served. They shall keep abreast of industry standards and techniques, reviewing periodicals and industry magazines commensurate to the course being taught.&nbsp; The instructor shall follow and maintain a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides to meet educational requirements and industry standards. They shall also oversee student conduct, motivation, safety, discipline, and appearance, addressing issues as they arise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

<li>High school graduate or the equivalent as determined by the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).</li>
<li>3+ years of approved work experience in the occupation to be taught.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license.</li>

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

<li>Associate degree or diploma from an accredited technical training program in the related field.</li>
<li>3+ years technical teaching experience.</li>
