Job Summary
Responsible for individualized instruction in all phases of the Electrical &amp; Plumbing Construction Technology program while preparing students for careers in electrical and plumbing construction; providing technical instruction relevant to the actual work environment using the prescribed program curriculum; exercising methods of recruitment and retention of students; working with and in harmony with the college’s goals and objectives; develops and maintains the curriculum for local industry; ensures efficient and safe delivery of instruction to students; and evaluates and solves procedural problems associated within the program; performs related tasks and other duties as assigned. Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum of certificate or diploma in instructional area or equivalent training with credentials in related field. A Limited Licensed Electrician (LLE) and Limited Licensed Plumber (LLP) or ability to obtain license in one (1) year. Minimum three (3) years of employment experience in the occupation to be taught within the last five (5) years. Strong customer service skills; as well, must possess effective oral and written communication skills; must have good organizational and planning skills. Be willing to learn and use individualized instructional techniques. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationship with students, faculty, staff and the general public. Be willing to maintain personal credentialing and certification as required.

General Summary

· Develop, adapt, and improve programs and services in response to the needs of changing environments, populations served, and evolving institutional priorities.
· Provide educational opportunities and experiences to students in leadership, social responsibility, intercultural understanding, and global citizenship.
· Utilize classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide an engaged learning experience to students.
· Ensure that each student has been presented with the material to successfully meet the learning objectives of each course within a student’s program of study
· Ensure that instructional materials and equipment are ready for student use, sufficient in quantity, are properly maintained and are in working order prior to class time
Organizational Culture and Inclusive Practices
· Maintain a solid understanding of College goals and priorities as they relate to the student experience.
· Participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development activities to ensure an active and engaged classroom experience for all students; maintain required certification and license
· Actively participate in meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines
· Ensure campus compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory bodies’ guidelines, along with internal policies of the college.
Fiscal Stewardship
· Manage the financial resources in accordance with College policies, values, and within the fiscal realities of the College.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Required Qualifications:
· Graduate from a one-year diploma program or have an associate degree in a related medical field
· Three years’ experience as a medical assistant
· Effective in teaching and knowledgeable in the MAERB Core Curriculum content included in their assigned teaching as documented by education or experience in the designated content area and have documented education in instructional methodology.
· Preferred Qualifications:

SKILLS:
· Computer proficiency utilizing routine office software such as MS Office Suite, email, internet, database/s, and virtual meeting platforms required.
· Exceptional oral and written communication; organization and problem-solving; planning; and interpersonal skills consistent with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
· Good communication skills with the ability to deal constructively with difficult situations and people and to resolve conflicts rationally and judiciously.
· Ability to work with people of various viewpoints, cultural backgrounds, and skill levels.
