Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Work Control Supervisor to work in our MFC Facility department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our MFC facility with every Friday off. This person will report to the Maintenance Work Control Manager.

Supervisor with focus in MFC maintenance activities.  This includes supervising a professional staff of planners, schedulers and work control administrators.  Maintain the process associated with work planning, resource management, and facility authorization of work activities. Develop schedules for daily maintenance or work activities and analyze daily work schedules to improve resource management and personnel usage. Report progress. Support critical activities by helping resolve resource priority conflicts. Develop and monitor performance of the assigned staff.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide immediate management to a unit or group of employees. Lead employees by encouraging and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage the activities of exempt or non-represented staff in a section or department with accountability for results regarding quality, timelines, and employee output.
  • Oversee the schedules and workflow of the team. 
  • Monitor projects to ensure completion and within budget. Provide input and contribute to improve product quality and procedure adherence.
  • Develop various schedule reports (e.g., schedules, status reports, resource reports, histograms) on a frequent basis to support the Plan of the Week and Plan of the Day (POW/POD). 
  • Evaluate schedule variances, provide guidance, and develop work improvement plans
  • First level of management with human resource responsibilities. 
  • Maintain technical competence associated with the Computer Management Maintenance System (CMMS) database (Asset Suite). 
  • Champion safety programs including VPP, ALARA and EST.
  • Follow procedures with strict and disciplined attitude and enforce the same standards to the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Associate’s Degree and 8 Years; or Baccalaureate in a technical field from an accredited institution and 6 years of relevant experience; or a Graduate degree in Science or Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience includes supervision and at least one of the following:· 

    • Maintenance· 
    • Engineering· 
    • Nuclear Research· 
    • Logistics· 
    • Operational Planning
    • Must have knowledge of principles, concepts and practices of the work control process.
  • Must have experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Must have a working knowledge of scheduling and various scheduling software.
  • Will qualify and maintain qualification as a HPI Practitioner within 12 months of employment.
  • Will qualify and maintain Maintenance First-Line Manager qualification within 9 months of employment
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. 


Job Information: 

  • The target pay range for this position is $81,772- $124,892 annually.  The full pay range is $76,980 - $177,036. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
