Your Role as a Substance Use Clinician

The Substance Use Clinician develops, coordinates, and provides individual and group treatment as well as rehabilitation, and support services to program clients with substance use disorders. He/she provides clinical consultation to other clinicians as needed. The Substance Use Clinician also builds community relationships and networks to generate referrals. He/she functions as a clinical member of a multidisciplinary team.

Aspire Health Alliance 

Celebrating 100 years of service in 2026, Aspire Health Alliance (Aspire) is a private, non-profit behavioral health agency, providing services for children, teens, and adults experiencing serious emotional challenges, behavioral issues, and substance abuse. Our vision is there is no health without mental health. In July 2022, Aspire was designated as a Community Behavioral Health Center by the State of Massachusetts. Aspire has outpatient clinics across the South Shore in Braintree, Quincy, and Marshfield.

Required Skills

  • Must have LADC license from the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services
  • Computer skills and adaptability
  • Valid driver’s license. safe driving record, and access to personal vehicle to provide occasional transportation of consumers 

Required Experience

  • Knowledge of local resources, specifically detox facilities, sober houses, treatment centers, suboxone/methadone clinics, and other substance use disorder services
  • Previous experience working with adults and families in an outpatient setting
  • Prior experience utilizing an Electronic Health Record preferred
  • One to two years of related experience
