ABOUT THE ROLE
As a member of the Accounts Payable Team, responsibilities include carefully reviewing and understanding information to enable correct master data creation, reviewing complex vendor invoices for proper G/L coding and matching against purchase orders to facilitate payment. The Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will assist with troubleshooting on invoice processing issues and follow up with relevant parties for resolution. This position will contribute to the overall objectives of the Accounting Department.
Key Accountabilities include:
• Review and analyze submitted invoices and goods receipts to ensure proper coding
• Manage VIM workspace and coordinate with the business as required
• Maintain accurate master data for vendors including tax information
• Interpret and follow banking guidelines for setup of vendor master
• Collaborate with internal and external customers in other countries
• Ensure documents flow from Purchase Order system to SAP
• Reconcile vendor statements as assigned, including branch statements
• Provide excellent and prompt customer service to internal and external clients
• Other duties as assigned
ABOUT YOU
- Understand working with foreign currencies and associated banking requirements
- Experience dealing with customers and/or vendors and utilizing professional verbal and electronic communcation
Ability to effectively prioritize work items and demonstrate consistent timely responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders
Requires technical know-how and broad understanding of Accounts Payable function - Accurate data entry skill; excellent spreadsheet skills (VLOOKUP/Pivot tables)
- SAP ECC and/or S4/HANA experience desirable but not required
