Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of English (English Education) in the Department of English with a preferred start date of August 2025. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia. 

A commitment to excellence in teaching and service to the university, department and/or discipline is expected of all non-tenure track faculty.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Teach undergraduate courses in the English Education program
• Serve as a liaison between partner schools and the English Education program
• Supervise English Education candidates in clinical experiences during field placements
• Engage in service to the program and department

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines. 

Required Qualifications Include

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in English Education or a closely related discipline is required.  
• At least 3 years teaching experience

OR

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in English with an undergraduate degree in English Education or a closely related teacher preparation field is required 
• At least 3 years teaching experience
   

OR

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required. 
• At least 3 years teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications Include

• At least 5 years of teaching experience
• Graduate coursework in English Education
• Experience mentoring teacher candidates
• Experience teaching in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats
