The Lead Business Analyst will work with the Project Manager and Client Business Owner to define the scope of a project / release, as well as develop user stories and functional requirement documents to describe the application requirements to support the project scope. 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Leading the interaction with various business stakeholders to gather, organize, and evaluate business requirements
  • Documenting and reviewing the business requirements with various business and technology stakeholders
  • Converting meeting minutes, business requirements, and other source material into User Stories
  • Assisting the architect and develop team to develop the high-level design
  • Preparing various deliverables and other document artifacts
  • Provide guidance and oversight to a small development team

The projected compensation range for this position is $110K-135K (annualized USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.



Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 6 years of experience working as a business or systems analyst in gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional requirements
  • Experience in modernizing legacy applications to Cloud Platform
  • Experience translating high level business requirements into user stories
  • Experience using Agile management tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and a proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Good technical / creative writing skills
  • Experience in taking comprehensive notes in meetings, even if the subject matter is unfamiliar
  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Federal Government Consulting experience
  • Experience working on web application development projects
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies (SharePoint, Dynamics, Power Platform)
  • Experience in Microsoft Visio and Project
