Qualifications:
A minimum of High School diploma or equivalent required 
Two to four years of successful experience in Benefits Administration 
Experience with NJ Pension enrollments preferred
Prior knowledge of Cobra Administration and coordination of open enrollment desired 
Must be proficient in Excel, including formulas 
Demonstrated detail orientation and ability to multi-task
Strong verbal and written communication skills and solid project management skills
Exceptional customer service orientation, including ability to establish and maintain successful relationships with the educational community
Maintains confidentially as required and appropriate  
Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of computer system, database software, internet software, spreadsheet software, word processing software and email 
Must have excellent integrity and demonstrated good moral character and initiative
Background free from criminal activities (as verified by criminal history check required by New Jersey Department of Education)

It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
