Position Summary:

Looking for an Engineering Manager that can drive our innovation across mobile and cloud. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the consumer automotive space through a data-driven experience developed in Flutter for Android and iOS, along with event driving microservices in AWS. This is a unique opportunity to solve complex problems, grow the Gather product, optimize our system, and lead in building business value solutions. Job Responsibilities:

· Work with Product and Business to determine best fit technology

· Drive architecture across mobile, cloud, system

· Grow developer productivity through leading in tools, frameworks, and processes to streamline development workflows, allowing developers to focus on writing code without worrying about the underlying infrastructure.

· Code, review, and design across the entire Gather ecosystem

· Recruit, train, and manage team that drives platform and innovation

· Spearhead analysis of emerging technology, doing POC, and providing analysis of proper fit and timing for Gather. Lead in implementation until established.

· Stay up to date with technology, best practices, tools, including security and data privacy

· Support and help develop proper CI/CD pipelines, holding to an infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, data-as code approach

· Help bridge internal development with external contractors and agencies when used

Qualifications:

· BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience

· 7+ years of engineering experience, in mobile, cloud or embedded

· 4+ years of experience building mobile applications, ideally in Flutter

· Proficiency with multiple programming languages

· Deep understanding of engineering

· Proficient in modern coding practices (dependency injection, reactive programming, MVVM, design patterns)

· Experience in automated CI/CD processes with quality gates for test coverage, static code analysis, and peer reviewed pull requests.

· Knowledge in cloud-based technologies from Amazon, Microsoft or Google, such as orchestration, microservices, containers, and notification services.

· Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work with team members and customers in a professional, friendly manner.
