As the Director of Operations, you will shape and guide a fast growing, dynamic Automotive Service startup. Under your leadership the fleet service operations will grow efficiently and will deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.

The Field Director for Glass and Calibration is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of field operations related to the installation, repair, and calibration of automotive glass and advanced vehicle safety systems. This role involves the implementation of new facilities and the management of our current locations. This individual will be responsible for building a world class team of operational leaders and a team of technicians.  The execution of growth initiatives, including the expansion into new locations and the implementation of operational strategies to enhance efficiency, profitability, and service quality. The Field Director will also be instrumental in driving business development by identifying market opportunities and ensuring the successful launch of new service locations.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of automotive industry with a minimum of 10 years in the glass industry, and calibration processes, this candidate must have a proven track record of new location execution with the ability to design and present a strategic growth plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:

- Lead, manage, a team of Operations Team focused on automotive glass and calibration for one of the largest Automotive Groups.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance management to ensure high levels of service delivery and technician development.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture that drives continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Strategic Growth and Expansion:

- Lead the identification and implementation of new service locations, ensuring strategic alignment with company growth objectives of our family of brands.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute expansion strategies, including market analysis, site selection, and operational planning.
- Monitor performance at new and existing locations, refining operational practices to optimize productivity and profitability.

  • Operations Oversight:

- Oversee all aspects of field operations, ensuring the timely and accurate installation and calibration of automotive glass.
- Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of job sites to ensure consistent service quality and safety adherence.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness to service needs.
- Work closely with sales and business development teams to identify customer needs and support long-term client partnerships.

  • Technical Expertise and Innovation:

- Stay at the forefront of industry developments, ensuring that the team is trained in the latest glass installation and calibration technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex issues, ensuring that field operations maintain the highest standards of expertise.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of field equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • Financial and Operational Performance:

- Develop and manage the budget for field operations, ensuring cost control and efficient allocation of resources.
- Analyze operational metrics and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Work with senior management to develop and execute strategies that improve profitability, operational efficiency, and service delivery.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, or Industry equivalent in Operations Management, Automotive Glass industry.
Experience:
- 10+ years in a leadership or operational management experience in Glass industry with a proven track record of managing multi-unit locations with revenues exceeding $10M

Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to drive results through others.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead complex technical discussions.
- Expertise in operational planning, resource management, and process optimization.
- Financial acumen and experience managing P&L, budgets and operational performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Additional Requirements:

- Ability to travel regularly to various field locations. (50% travel requirement)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
