Becomea Business Operations Analyst, Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow.In this job, you’ll use your skills in project management, process management, and quantitative/analytical to provide back office operational support to the IT organization. These services include developing complex reports and dashboards, analytical assessments of metrics, providing analytical evaluations derived from metrics and reporting, providing procure to pay support, managing corporate initiatives & special projects, performing administration responsibilities of the Learning Management System for IT, managing space and facilities projects, IT Employee Engagement Program planning and coordination, managing the Employee Contributions Campaign for the OU, and operating unit facilitation over on-boarding/off-boarding. Also provides input on identifying and implementing improvement opportunities for these processes.
- Team Support: Perform Organizational Unit (OU) or department business operations, project support, and/or ad-hoc work, as assigned in support of Resource & Support Services functions, which may include but is not limited to performing procure to pay support, managing space and facility projects, administration of the Learning Management System for IT, managing the Employee Contributions Campaign for the OU, coordination for onboarding/offboarding activities, organizational changes, IT safety recognition program, and other back-office support functions.
- Business Operations Support: Provide project support to develop and publish targeted communications related to the products and services provided in the Resource & Support Services group, provide task support to the Business Unit Support network-PMs, and partner with IT leadership to increase employee engagement with leadership while focusing on enhancing the work environment.
- Metrics & Report Analysis: Develop medium to high complexity reports using multiple data sources.
- Policy Admin Support: Recommend, interpret, improve, implement, and/or execute organization and internal business operations policies and procedures.
- Project Reports & Monitoring: Manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of small to medium internal projects.

Responsibilities
- Provides reporting on key metrics related to major programs and initiatives
- Develops, produces, and tracks key metrics through automated processes and KPI dashboards
- Monitors the creation and storage of documentation and records for use in project monitoring, ensuring accuracy and completeness in order to track project/program costs, resources, schedules, and status for management review
- Delivers data analysis and business intelligence reports, including complex requests with high internal and external visibility or special requests, such as audits
- Coordinates research efforts on various topics to ensure timely information is gathered which can form the basis for decision making on organization priorities and needs
- Contributes to process improvement and refinement efforts of department and/or Operating Unit
- Develop and maintains systems/tools to facilitate work processes, records management, and communications in support of Business Operations analysis
- Develops and reports on key performance indicators to measure efficiency and effectiveness of projects and programs
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience performing business operations analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience in the field of analysis (i.e., business, project, finance and/ or operational analysis).
- Experience and proficiency with SAP (particularly the HCM and/or SCM modules), Success Factors, Fieldglass, Power BI
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Experience and proficiency using Excel functions such as pivot tables and macros.
- Intermediate to advanced level capabilities in reporting specifically in data analysis.
- Experience with project management tools and methods to manage single and multiple projects of moderate to high complexity, gather information, monitor and report project status, and coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop services to enhance satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, manage information.
- Experience initiating and executing improvement strategies for increased efficiency.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
