Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) at time of hire



Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 25lbs.



Shift

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00AM – 5:00PM (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed.



Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Counselor will provide direct clinical counseling to help children and families deal with various personal, social, and mental health issues, such as depression, unemployment, domestic abuse, and illness, through individual, family, and group counseling.

This individual will work closely with providers to provide patients and families with a comprehensive mental health evaluation and treatment plan. Job duties include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating mental health conditions.

The BHC will provide timely and effective support to patients facing mental health emergencies using evidence-based screening tools, risk assessments, and clinical interventions for children and adolescents. The BHC will help patients cope with suicidal behaviors by safety planning, minimizing stressors, offering emotional support, and improving coping strategies during crisis situations.

Previous work experience provinding clinical mental health assessments, counseling, case management and/or social services.
