As the Assistant Vice President/Loan Compliance Specialist, you will develop, implement, and monitor all aspects of the Bank's Loan Compliance Program, which includes risk management and internal audit functions. The Loan Compliance Specialist will continuously provide insight into the business's overall risk profile, independent challenges, and improvement suggestions.

To thrive as the Assistant Vice President/Loan Compliance Specialist, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required along with 3-5 years of banking experience, preferably in a deposit/operations role and/or a compliance or auditing role or equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education.
  • High Ethical Standards and Confidentiality – Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold strong ethical practices in all professional interactions.
  • Attention to Detail and Accuracy – Proven ability to perform tasks with high precision, ensuring accuracy in work and decision-making.
  • Strong Communication Skills – Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders and convey information.
  • Time Management and Organizational Skills – Expertise in planning, multitasking, and meeting deadlines while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities as the Assistant Vice President/Loan Compliance Specialist will include:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state banking laws, ensuring the bank's lending practices comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Disseminate information on loan compliance and upcoming regulatory changes to staff and assist in implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Perform internal audits, monitor business activities for regulatory risks, and ensure compliance with laws such as Truth in Lending, ECOA, etc.
  • Coordinate training on loan compliance for bank personnel and assist with compliance inquiries.
  • Support preparation for audits and exams, serve as a point of contact for auditors and maintain organized compliance records.
