Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering 

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology with a preferred start date of August 2025. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Engineering, or other topics in Electrical & Computer Engineering.
  • Service to Department/College/University/professional community is expected.
  • Scholarship/Research expectations include pursuing and receiving external grants, publishing and presenting original peer-reviewed work in reputable journals and conferences, and advising graduate student research.
     

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications Include

  • A Terminal or Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. 
  • The required degree must be earned by start date.

  • Evidence of scholarship/creative activities
