Job Summary
This position will support ambulatory clinics in the management of patients requiring Specialty Pharmacy medications. Strong clinical oversight and patient education is mandatory for high functioning specialty pharmacies. The UK Specialty pharmacy will improve clinic workflow, increase patient satisfaction, and increase the volume of specialty medications dispensed through UK pharmacies. The creation of a UK HealthCare Specialty Pharmacy will allow subspecialty care to be managed entirely within UK HealthCare, avoiding the fractured care that currently exists by relying on external specialty pharmacies and manufacturer hubs. This position will provide a high patient-touch service while obtaining affordable access to these medications, both cornerstones of a high functioning Specialty Pharmacy.
