Director, Applications Revenue Cycle

Direct and accountable for the full systems development life cycle management of enterprise applications for both support services and implementations adhering to enterprise data/process standards. Direct ongoing support and services of the software, environments, and processes required to ensure data quality and integrity. Monitor functionality of the software and its use within the Sutter Health affiliates, paying particular attention to evolving best practices for distribution across affiliates.Description:

Years of Experience Details Required/Preferred
Comprehensive combination of IT and/or healthcare operations work experience as typically acquired in 11 to 14 years, with at least 5 years of leadership experience, in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level managements and key stakeholders Required
Extensive management and leadership experience within an information technology context working and managing complex implementation projects including systems analysis, strategic planning, project management, resource allocation, budget development and vendor management Required
Solid experience in healthcare technology with a focus on business, laboratory, radiology, nursing, pharmacy, physician management software applications strongly preferred Required
Proven track record of implementing applications and systems in multiple sites, including vendor selection, application development, installation, maintenance and support through the effective leadership of multidisciplinary teams Required
Demonstrated experience in ambulatory care, clinical operations and ancillary clinical applications Required

 

Demonstrated director-level experience managing the healthcare revenue cycle and/or access operational teams within an acute or ambulatory environment Required Revenue Cycle

 

Active membership in Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) or similar peer network desired Preferred Revenue Cycle

 

• Comprehensive understanding of billing compliance related to federal, state and local regulations
• Extensive knowledge of all types of payer contracts, including capitation arrangements and a full understanding of current procedural terminology (CPT), international classification of diseases (ICD-9), and healthcare common procedure coding system (HCPCS) coding
